Description of resources |
 |
yTeach offers thousands of resources which can be used in either teacher or student modes. "Class activities" are designed to be used by individual students in front of their computer, whilst 'Whiteboard presentations' are specially prepared for you to use in the classroom.
Class activities consist of a number of complimentery elements, such as animations, text descriptions, simulations and exercises. Whiteboard presentations are streamlined to concentrate on just one element at a time. Normally, each student sequence has several equivalents available for use on the whiteboard; how you use them is for you to choose.
A single screen from Class activities is called an 'activity'. Screens from Whiteboard presentations have different names depending on the type of the resource included. For example:
- animation (a screen containing an animation), - exercise (a screen containing an exercise), - illustration (a screen containing an illustration), - slideshow (a screen containing a slideshow), - simulation (a screen containing a simulation), - game (a screen containing an interesting game), - other (a screen containing other useful description).
How to use a Class activities
Class activities are ready-to-use student lessons. They have been primarily designed for self-study learning, but can also be used as whiteboard presentations. Each lesson begins with a detailed table of contents and concludes with a report page (where the student's progress through the lesson is displayed).

How to use a Whiteboard presentation
Whiteboard sequences are ready-made presentations for you to use in the classroom with a projector
or interactive whiteboard. They are based upon the corresponding student Class activities,
but are displayed without descriptive text which allows you to manage the explanations.
A specially designed teacher panel allows you to access additional options which are very helpful
during whiteboard presentations (eg. annotation tools).
